About Founder

Johannes Abraham, founder of Horn of Africa Moments, is a 25-year-old engineering graduate student driven by purpose and impact. A first-generation student with roots in Eritrea, Johannes is deeply committed to giving back to the children and communities of East Africa.

Born and raised between Germany and England, he developed a strong sense of cultural identity and responsibility from an early age. His mission is simple but powerful: to uplift and inspire the children of the Horn of Africa through meaningful action and joyful experiences.

His journey has taken him across Europe, Africa, and Asia, building lasting relationships and a global perspective that now fuels his nonprofit work.

From working at Mercedes-Benz to studying at Asia’s top-ranked Tsinghua University, Johannes has seen firsthand how much one person can achieve when driven by passion and purpose.

With Horn of Africa Moments, Johannes is pursuing his dream of bringing joy, opportunity, and hope to the region and of making a lasting impact on as many children’s lives as possible.
